I specialise in working with LGBTQIA+ people
and people with relationship styles
that are “non-traditional”.

How can I help?

Many people who come to me experience feeling like they don’t quite fit into the world the way they’re meant to, like they’re going to get found out for not having everything figured out yet or like they’ve been pretending to be someone they’re not for so long that they’re not actually sure which parts are them anymore. I can help you become a happier, more fulfilled, more authentic you.

What can I help with?

You may want to come to me to talk about struggles around sexuality, gender or relationships or you may want to talk to me about something else safe in the knowledge that I’m not going to try to pin your struggles down to an aspect of your identity that you’re perfectly comfortable with (as many people have reported in non-queer counselling) or have to waste your time explaining something queer to me.

I will take an intersectional and trauma informed approach to our work together. My other areas of expertise that may overlap (or not) with queerness/relationship diversity include working with autistic clients and people with eating disorders. I have also worked extensively with “supporters” so if someone you love has an eating disorder, is autistic, is queer or has a non-traditional relationship and you need some support to navigate that yourself please get in touch.

I work from a predominantly person-centred approach, which means that I create an accepting, understanding and authentic environment that empowers you to be able to explore safely the possible paths you may want to follow to being a happier, more fulfilled, more authentic you. During sessions we may predominantly talk through things, or we may incorporate other forms of expression like art, movement, poetry, or music (don’t worry if these things sound daunting, they’re options only if you want them, and it can include just sharing things that already exist in the world rather than creating your own).

I have a smorgasbord of resources that I might suggest if they feel applicable because I’d much rather our sessions were about us working together rather than reading over something you can access for free, and of course we can process any revelations or questions from these together in sessions.

Testimonials

I can't thank you enough for all your continued help and support. You've really helped me think differently and learn more about myself.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your support over the last few months. You've really helped me make some positive steps in the right direction.
You helped me get through a very hard period and I will be eternally grateful for our conversations which helped me so much.

Thank you for all your help and support. You are definitely part of the football team (even though you know nothing about football! You would make a great defender!). You always seem to pinpoint exactly how I am feeling and that helps a great deal in being able to understand it and move forward (without feeling too bad).

Thank you for all your help. I will miss speaking with you very much. I often think of the things you have said, when faced with a situation or feelings, and they have been so incredibly comforting, reassuring and helpful. I feel incredibly lucky to have had these sessions with you. Thank you for taking care of me during this time.

Thank you, Tash, for being there for me every week. Every time I described a situation or feeling to you and you unpicked it, I always thought 'Yes, that's it! That's exactly what it's like!'. Thank you for being so incredibly understanding, supportive and considerate.

I can’t thank you enough for the help and support you have given me  over the last few months. Your calm expertise has steered me the through one of the toughest challenges I’ve faced, as a parent to an adult daughter with an eating disorder.  I now feel much better equipped to deal with whatever lies ahead.
